Highlights from Michelle and Luke's fusion wedding at Hackney Town Hall.
I love a registry office wedding at in London we are spoiled for choice. One of my favourite town halls is definitely Hackney Town Hall and for Michelle and Luke it didn't disappoint.
We started off the day in style, an obligatory whiskey for Luke, a black cab ride for Michelle and then a beautiful ceremony in the council chamber room. After a glorious set of portraits on the iconic staircase outside (and of course confetti - my favourite!) the couple piled everyone onto a modern and a vintage red London bus and took them to Yi-Ban in Canary Wharf. There after a glorious tea ceremony and a Chinese feast, the guests were treated to a personlised Lion dance where the couple fed the lion a fresh lettuce so it could spit it back out over them to symbolise wealth and prosperity in their marriage.
It was a wonderful day combining two wonderful people in love and honouring their favourite cultural traditions.
Have a look through the photos to get the essence of the day and if you’ve got any questions about the venue or photography feel free to drop me a DM or an email.
