A multi-coloured wedding at the Great Tythe Barn infused with Sri Lankan dancing, ceremonial touches and beautiful moments for Sarah and Dean.
Sarah and Dean put their heart and souls into planning this beautiful wedding. With the epic Great Tythe Barn as their backdrop, their ceremony was beautifully crafted and full of Sri Lankan surprises and personal touches delivered beautifully by Tara the celebrant.
The flowers were bright and colourful giving off a particularly tropical vibe and reflected the personalities of Sarah and Dean perfectly. It was a beautiful infusion of them with a nod to Sarah's heritage.
The Great Tythe Barn is a spectacular 17th Century grade II listed building that really has all the charm of it's Costwolds setting. Based in Tetbury in Gloucestershire it gives a warm cosy and intimate feeling whilst still being big enough and grand enough for large parties and can sleep 90 guests on site with a variety of accommodation options.
Post-ceremony was all about the celebration from surprise dance performances to tear inducing speeches.
The speeches will always be my favourite part of the day to shoot. By that point in the day, everyone has had a drink, relaxed a bit and forgotten that the camera is even there. The expressions on your guest's faces are often full of emotion from belly aching laughter to silent tears and it's the perfect time for the candid, documentary style of photography to come into play.
Sarah and Dean had a magical surprise performance from a Sri Lankan Dance group before dinner and during their drinks reception which really set the tone for the amount of partying that would happen throughout the afternoon! Their evening was a mix of toasting marshmallows, throwing shapes on the dancefloor, feasting on a homemade wedding cake, a dance floor outfit change(!) and creating magical memories for them to hold dear for the rest of their lives.
Sarah and Dean booked my Prep to Party - Hybrid package where I shot both a full photo gallery and highlight film for them as a solo shooter. It's the perfect option for couples looking for a little bit of video but not a whole production, with less cameras in their faces, very documentary style!
Sounds like the kind of coverage you are looking for? I would love to chat to you!
