A tear-enduced, beautiful, intimate Islington Town Hall elopement followed by cake, coffee and a stroll in the park where Jess and Lewis had their first date.
Jess and Lewis had such a special day. They crafted it to suit them perfectly, we had lots of chats about how we could make it a full embodiment of their love for each other and it was one that will stay in my memory bank for a long, long time.
Jess and Lewis met during the covid pandemic where they used to get a coffee from Finks coffee house in Clissold Park and walk around for their one hour a day.
Their coffee order and their ritual became so special to them that they wanted to honour that on their wedding day.
So I met them at Islington Town Hall for a ceremony where their two special guests and I weeped consistently throughout it. They were so full of love for each other and you could see it all over the way they looked at each other and how emotional they were to be getting married.
"Two hot chocolates please"
Following their ceremony we walked back to a local Airbnb for cake from their favourite London bakery and some gift giving before setting off a confetti canon to fill the room with the colours of the transgender flag. We then jumped in an uber and headed to Clissold Park for hot chocolate and a walk on a particularly sunny London day.
It's so special to have a couple truly trust you and your ideas and I was honoured to be able to capture their memories on both photo and video for them. There's something that just hits differently about super personal elopements and it's really lovely to spend some time with a couple that mean so much to each other.
I created a hybrid elopement package for Jess and Lewis so that I could cover their ceremony and their celebrations afterwards. It's so special to have both photos and a video from their big day and I'm glad I could provide that for them.
